Role: Student Placement Researcher

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Manchester studying psychology. Having an interest in clinical psychology, I hope to gain a greater understanding of autism in my time at CRAE.

I have previously assisted with research into Parkinson’s at Manchester with an emphasis on Patient and Public Involvement. I am passionate about research directly engaging with those who have lived experience and I look forward to contributing in participatory research at CRAE to improve support for autistic people.

Additionally, I enjoy spending my time painting and drawing. I have an interest in art therapy and how it can be used as a form of self-expression or communication for people, as well as a method of improving mental health. I believe art therapy could be a meditative practice in supporting the wellbeing of autistic individuals.
