New Paper: Understanding psychiatrists’ knowledge, attitudes and experiences in identifying and supporting their patients on the autism spectrum

Picture of stack of journals.

CRAEโ€™s Laura Crane and colleagues recently published an article examining the experiences of psychiatrists working with autistic patients, and how confident they were in making decisions when diagnosing and managing autistic patients. Results showed that having a higher number of autistic patients under their care and receiving training on autism were significant predictors of psychiatristsโ€™ perceived self-efficacy. Psychiatrists also identified a need for services for autistic adults without mental health needs or intellectual disabilities. Find out more about it here ย https://bit.ly/2GqWWJX
